Coincidence?

Ok...So I have been waiting on this T&E(travel & entertainment) reimbursement check from our division offices. We had some training out of town and they t&e'ed out food and travel expenses...Mind you this was not a 20, 30 minute drive, nor was it just one day. This was a good hr and a half drive, each way, for 5days straight...To 3 different places! My 2 coworkers(both white) got theirs fairly quickly, about a week and a half ago. I, though, am still awaiting mine. I waited a few days before I inquired about this, but this is a couple hundred dollars that a sista would like to have in her pocket... So anyway, it turns out there is no receipt of my expense report anywhere! There is no other copy of the report(and thats my bad, i was rushing to get it in..the one time I dont make a copy something happens!), Ive turned in all my original receipts, and they will not take the copies(I did this for my receipt to keep track of what was spent, so I am basically screwed. Anyway Im talking to another co worker, who happens to be black, and it turns out he is still waiting on his. He did not know that everyone else from our training class had already received theirs...We laugh it off, but of course there is that underlying thought that this was done intentionally! Now Im not into blaming "the man" and all that crap, but we were the only two of the darker persuasion, and everyone else from the class had long received their checks. As a matter of fact, someone from accounting came down and actually delivered them personally, to each individual from our class. Now after a couple of days of being patient and waiting for someone to hand over the goods, I was finally approached by my supervisor(bless his heart) who was ready to write me a personal check from his checkbook. He was able to get some things moved around, and actually got me more money in the process(which was so much sweeter), an approval without the actual receipts, and an apology for the long wait. Now as I sit here and look at my new form(i made a copy this time), I am still a little skeptical. I also wondering if my man is gonna get his str8, and if so what was the deal behind his....If they tell him the same story they told me(went from it never being received, 2 my sup and the gm signed off on it and it was turned in late, 2 another individual processed it and the main person filing them didnt know it, 2 once again never being received)then I will have my answer....Until the next time.....
